The Reserve by Fresnaye ("the app") is a personal coffee and tea inventory app provided by Fresnaye & Company. This policy describes what the app collects, how it's used, and who it's shared with.
Information We Collect
Account information — your email address and password (if signed in with email), or your Fresnaye SSO identity (if signed in with single sign-on).
Inventory data you enter — coffee pods, beans, tea, brew recipes, brew log entries, and subscription records.
Photos you capture — when you tap the scan button, a photo of a coffee bag, pod box, or tea tin is sent to Anthropic's Claude vision API to extract label text. Photos are not retained by the app after processing.
xBloom credentials (optional) — if you connect your xBloom account, your xBloom email and password are stored on our server and used only to sync recipes on your behalf.
The app does not collect advertising identifiers, location data, contacts, or device analytics.
How We Use Information
To store and display your personal coffee/tea inventory and brewing history.
To process scanned label photos into structured inventory entries.
To sync recipes with your xBloom account, if you opt in.
Third-Party Services
Anthropic (Claude) — images of coffee/tea labels you scan are sent to Anthropic for text extraction. Anthropic's privacy policy: anthropic.com/privacy
xBloom — if you connect your xBloom account, recipe data is sent to and pulled from xBloom on your behalf.
Open-Meteo — the dashboard fetches public weather data; no personal information is sent.
Camera Permission
The app requests camera access only to let you photograph coffee bags, pod boxes, and tea tins for label scanning. The camera is never accessed in the background, and images are only transmitted when you tap the scan button.
Data Storage & Security
Inventory data is stored on a private server operated by Fresnaye & Company at reserve.fresnaye.com. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. API access is protected by bearer tokens stored in the device's secure storage.
Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, contact the email below.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above will be revised when changes are made.
